Partnership Approach
Working with landowners, developers, utilities, and economic development partners
What We Do
50 for 5 Infrastructure identifies land near electrical transmission infrastructure and positions it for development — primarily battery energy storage (BESS), solar, and data centers. We work in the Mohawk Valley and the broader Upstate New York region, including Montgomery County.
We connect landowners with qualified developers and investors, and we support economic development partners evaluating infrastructure opportunities in the region.
What We Are Not
We are not a developer, EPC firm, utility, or broker-dealer. We do not build projects, operate power plants, or sell securities. Our role is site origination — identifying and positioning land so that qualified developers and investors can evaluate it.
Leadership & Experience
The leadership behind 50 for 5 brings more than two decades of experience in the energy industry and utility program management, including executive roles overseeing nationwide energy efficiency and infrastructure programs.
Our Focus
We specialize in site origination — the process of identifying, evaluating, and positioning land for infrastructure development.
Regional Expertise
Based in Upstate New York, we have deep knowledge of the Mohawk Valley, including Montgomery County, and the broader Capital Region. We understand the local landscape — from transmission corridors and substation capacity to zoning considerations and community dynamics.
Our regional focus allows us to provide credible, informed guidance to developers, investors, utilities, and economic development organizations evaluating infrastructure opportunities in the area.
Our Why
50 for 5 was created with a belief that communities should play an active role in shaping their economic futures.
The transition toward electrified infrastructure and AI-driven industries will reshape many regional economies over the next decade. By engaging early, communities can ensure development occurs in ways that align with their values, protect their residents, and create long-term economic opportunity.
Community Commitment
Transparent & Responsible
We believe infrastructure development should benefit local communities. That's why we prioritize transparent communication, community feedback, and working within established approval processes. Education and engagement are central to how we approach every project.
